Known for its small-batch desserts and savory treats inspired by Peruvian heritage, the bakery brings authentic flavors to Ithaca through offerings like alfajores, pionono, tres leches, empanadas, and chicha morada. Every item is crafted with care, real ingredients, and a deep respect for the recipes and memories that shaped them.

El Pequeño Horno began with a simple intention: to share the tastes of home and celebrate Latin American culture in the Finger Lakes. What started as a few homemade batches for friends quickly evolved into a growing bakery, supported by local markets, collaborators, and customers who connected with the story behind each bite.

The bakery has become a familiar favorite at The SMORG, where its empanadas and desserts regularly draw a crowd. El Pequeño Horno is also expanding its reach through a new partnership with GreenStar, where customers can now find select products—including its popular empanadas and tres leches cake—on store shelves.

Guided by memory, family, and the joy of bringing people together, El Pequeño Horno is more than a bakery—it’s a celebration of heritage, resilience, and shared success, offering the community a delicious bridge to Latin American traditions.

Gardella’s Goodies - Small-Batch Bakery & Gifting Studio

Gardella’s Goodies is a small-batch bakery and gifting business known for its handmade cookies, signature Brooklyn Balls—a truffle-meets-cake-pop creation—and thoughtfully curated treat boxes featuring products from other small businesses. Every item is baked, packaged, and presented with care, making gifting (or self-treating) easy, meaningful, and a little extra special.

The business began as a dream shared by the founders, inspired by the owner’s grandmother, Joan, whose love and hospitality shaped their appreciation for food and community. After years of recipe testing, creative brainstorming, and late-night baking sessions, Gardella’s Goodies officially launched in early 2024. What started as a passion project quickly grew into a thriving small business grounded in creativity, connection, and community support.

Their treats are driven by nostalgia, celebration, and the joy of sharing something sweet. Gardella’s Goodies loves reimagining classics in new forms—such as cookie dough truffles and spirit-infused cookie collaborations with local wineries and distilleries—drawing inspiration from the Finger Lakes region and its vibrant network of makers.
