Description

Shared Kitchen Ithaca is a community development project to establish a shared-use commercial kitchen in Ithaca, New York. We will be opening in April 2025. Our 4000 square foot commercial kitchen is equipped with ranges, a char broiler, a fryer, Rationale Combi Oven, 3-Level Italian steam injection electric deck oven, Blodgett convection ovens, a 40 gallon tilt skillet, blast chiller, ice maker, proofers, dough sheeter, mixers, food processors and more. Also, our facility includes a large walk in cooler, freezer, and a loading dock. We also provide business support and incubation services to our members.

Tiered Pricing

We have a tiered system of monthly pricing for time used ($25/hr for minimal hours to $15/hr for extensive hours.) Yearly membership fee of $185. Additional charges for storage. Please see the following table for details:

Community Membership is ideal for existing businesses and supporters of SKI.

Annual membership fees offset SKI's membership services, incubation costs and costs of disposables.

Membership program for Low-Moderate Income Entrepreneurs

To ensure equitable access to the reduced rental program sponsored by the Ithaca Urban Renewal Agency for Shared Kitchen Ithaca, eligibility is determined based on household income. Applicants must have a total household income that is equal to or less than 50% of the median 2024 U.S. Dept. of Housing & Urban Development limits for households in the City of Ithaca, NY. Household Income is defined as the combined gross income of all members residing in a single household.

This policy will be reviewed annually and updated as necessary to reflect changes in the median household income for the city of Ithaca, NY. This policy aligns with the income guidelines provided by Ithaca Urban Renewal Agency.
