What is The SMORG?
The SMORG is Ithaca’s rotating lineup of local food pop-ups — a smorgasbord of flavor, craft, and creativity served straight from the heart of Shared Kitchen Ithaca.
Each week, different makers take over our kitchen and counter space, offering everything from Peruvian comfort food and Southeast Asian street eats to locally sourced farm-to-table dishes and handcrafted hot dogs that redefine “homemade.”
Born from the Shared Kitchen community, The SMORG gives small food entrepreneurs a platform to test new ideas, meet customers, and grow their businesses — without the overhead of a restaurant. For diners, it’s a new flavor adventure every week.
Why We Do It
Local food should be accessible — for the people who make it and the people who eat it.
By rotating vendors and sharing space, we keep opportunities open, costs low, and the menu constantly fresh. Every meal served supports a local maker’s dream — and every bite connects you to the story behind it.
